Literally meaning ocean drop, this tank is located in old Bhubaneswar, by the side of Lingaraj Temple. Pilgrims flock here to have a holy bath as the lake is supposed to posses the power to wash away all sins. A tiny island with several shrines can be found in the center of the lake. Lord Lingaraj and other deities are performing a ritual boat ride on Bindusagar due to Chandan yatra festival, this ritual is known as Chapa Khela. This event draws many people and includes devotional songs, temple bells, folk music, dancing, and other cultural shows.
