Odisha State Civil Supply Corporation Ltd., was established on 3rd September, 1980 as a fully owned State Government company under Companies Act, 1956. Initially it had an authorized share capital of Rs 5 Cr but currently it stands at Rs. 1000 Cr. With adaptat ion of Decentralised Procurement (DCP) Scheme since KMS 2003-04, the Corporation has been engaged in direct purchase of paddy from farmers and in KMS 2023-24 procurement has crossed 79.16 LMT which is the highest ever figure since inception for any KMS. The main function of the Corporation includes Procurement of Paddy, Storage and distribution of CMR. With technological intervention through various web based applications like P-PAS, MMDF, SCMS etc. the Corporation has streamlined its operation while ensuring efficiency and transparency. []
