Nilagiri Jagannath Temple

The presence of the Jagannath Temple gives Nilagiri its spiritual significance. People recognize it as the third Shrikshetra. The main temple and Jagamohana reflect the classic Kalinga style of architecture. We worship Jagannath, Balabhadra, Subhadra, Sudarshan, and other deities, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Bhudevi, Sridevi, and Bimala on the Ratnavedi inside the sanctum sanctorum. King Ramachandra Deva Mardajar Harichandan built it in 1750 AD. People celebrate the Ratha Jatra here, drawing thousands of devotees.
