Mahavinayak Temple

Located at a distance of 68 km from the state capital, the Mahavinayak temple, as the name suggests, is a place where Lord Ganesh is worshipped. It is a major centre of pilgrimage and is one of the oldest Ganesh temples in the state. The speciality of the temple lies in the fact that the Pancha Devata (five Gods), ‘Shiva’, ‘Vishnu’, ‘Durga’, ‘Sun’, and ‘Ganapati’ are worshipped as a single deity in a single sanctum sanctorum. Many festivals such as Shiv Ratri, Makar Sankranti, and Raja are celebrated here.
