Mandira Dam is situated across the Sankh River and is located near Kansbahal in Sundergarh district, Odisha. It is about 32 km from Rourkela town. The dam supplies water to the Rourkela Steel Plant, and it was constructed after 1957. The Mandira Reservoir is a popular tourist spot offering boating facilities. The nearest railway station is Kansbahal on the Howrah–Mumbai main line, while Rourkela serves as the closest junction station.
